Bank of America wanted their real-time stock price and an options calculator available for their employees. We get that this sounds basic and not really worth creating a Case Study about, but there was something deeply insidious happening because this wasn’t available.
When Soup Group was contacted, TechSoup was only an idea and at that point had not been named yet. The concept was to build an online community for non-profits and students to find support and share information that would generate revenue through memberships.
The Montecito Bank and Trust online banking systems were creating customer service nightmares. The legacy core banking systems and applications that they relied upon couldn’t support customers’ rising expectations. Unexpectedly, their personal, commercial, credit card, and wealth management customers were leaving to find other banking solutions.
Albeit a grandiose idea, we pitched a digital workspace for all of BofA’s employees. Soup Group envisioned a workspace focused on giving everyone an easier, friendlier, and better place to work.
